Open to All Students
Our Specialized Classes provide exciting opportunities for dancers to explore diverse movement styles, enhance their ballet training, and discover new artistic passions. These classes welcome students of all backgrounds - from GAB ballet students wanting to become more well-rounded dancers, to older beginners exploring dance for the first time, to students from other studios seeking additional training. Whether your dancer wants to express emotion through contemporary, find their rhythm in tap, perform with energy in jazz, build strength through conditioning, or experience the joy of ballet in a welcoming environment, our specialized offerings provide professional-quality instruction that complements any dancer's unique path while fostering an everlasting love of dance.
Boys Ballet Class (Ages 4-7)
Perfect for: Young male artists who want to explore ballet in an energetic, supportive environment! Students ready to build strength, coordination, and confidence through classical foundation training. GAB welcomes male dancers in all classes. This specialized class focuses on techniques and movements that are particularly engaging for boys in ballet.
Includes: Fun introduction to ballet with focus on jumps, basic terminology, and high-energy movement designed specifically for boys in our nurturing environment that inspires young artists.

Saturday: 10:30am-11:00am (30 min) - Boys Ballet

Dress Code: Black, grey, or white shorts/tights, matching shirt, black/white/nude shoes with matching socks
Contemporary Dance (Ages 6+)
Perfect for: Dancers wanting to explore expressive movement and expand their artistic voice! Contemporary builds on ballet foundation while developing versatility essential in today's dance world.
Includes: Floor work, weight shifts, emotional storytelling through movement, and flowing between control and release. Students explore both lyrical and dynamic movement qualities while discovering new ways to understand their body and express themselves artistically.

Tuesday: 5:30pm-6:15pm (45 min) - Contemporary 1 (Beginner)
Thursday: 5:30pm-7:00pm (90 min) - Contemporary 2 * (Intermediate)
Wednesday: 7:30pm-8:30pm (60 min) - Contemporary 3 * (Intermediate/Advanced)
Wednesday: 6:00pm-7:30pm (90 min) - Contemporary 4 * (Advanced)

Tap (Ages 5+)
Perfect for: Students wanting to become both dancer and musician! Tap builds rhythm, musicality, and coordination through percussive footwork that's incredibly fun and energizing.
Includes: Basic sounds progressing to complex rhythms, quick thinking development, sharp listening skills, precise footwork combinations, and improvisation. Students find their own rhythmic voice while improving overall musicality for all dance styles.

Tuesday: 6:15pm-7:00pm (45 min) - Tap 1 (Intermediate)

Jazz Dance (Ages 6+)
Perfect for: Dancers seeking high-energy performance training! Jazz incorporates musical theater, contemporary trends, and classic styling while building confidence and dynamic movement quality.
Includes: Performance techniques, commercial dance elements, strength and flexibility building, sharp and clean technique development, and learning to perform with personality and confidence.

Conditioning/Pilates (Ages 10+) & Open Ballet (Ages 12+)
Perfect for: Dancers wanting injury prevention and technique enhancement, plus older beginners or returning dancers seeking ballet for fitness and joy! These classes build physical foundation while providing excellent instruction in welcoming, supportive environments.
Includes: Pilates principles, resistance band work, dance-specific exercises, targeted strength and core development, flexibility training, body awareness building, proper alignment focus, ballet fundamentals, barre and center work adapted for all levels, and stress-free learning.
