Creative Movement - Ballet 3

Creative Movement (Ages 3-5)

Perfect for: Young artists beginning their dance journey! Students ready to explore movement, music, and creativity in our nurturing environment that fosters an everlasting love of dance.

Includes: Imaginative introduction to basic ballet positions, coordination exercises, creative movement, and gentle stretching while building confidence and classroom skills.

Requirements: One class per week required

Available Classes:

  • Wednesday: 4:15pm-5:00pm (45 min)

  • Saturday: 9:30am-10:15am (45 min)

Optional Classes: Two class options provide scheduling flexibility for busy families!

Dress Code 

  • Light pink leotard, pink or nude tights, matching shoes  OR

  • Black, grey, or white shorts/tights, matching shirt, black/white/nude shoes with matching socks 

All dancers are welcome to choose the option that makes them feel most confident and comfortable. Please speak with the Artistic Director about any concerns regarding dress code. GAB supports all dancers in feeling confident in class.

Pre-Ballet (Ages 4-6)

Perfect for: Young artists eager to begin professional-quality classical ballet training! Students ready to discover their unique path while developing both technical skill and artistic expression.

Includes: Introduction to the ballet barre, foundational ballet terminology, traditional class structure, jumps, and stretches in a healthy and nourishing environment.

Requirements: One ballet class per week required, two recommended

Available Classes:

  • Wednesday: 4:15pm-5:15pm (60 min) - Pre-Ballet

  • Wednesday: 5:15pm-5:45pm (30 min) - Pre-Ballet Tap

  • Saturday: 9:00am-10:00am (60 min) - Pre-Ballet

Optional Classes: Pre-Ballet Tap enhances rhythm and coordination while building well-rounded dancers!

Ballet 1 (Ages 6-8)

Perfect for: Young artists building their classical foundation! Students ready to develop technical excellence while discovering their individual artistic voice in our supportive environment.

Includes: Professional-quality training with extended barre work, expanded ballet vocabulary, jumps, beginning strength and alignment focus, plus center work development. Multi-level class (Ballet 1&2) to  help dancers build lasting friendships while developing skills together, creating stronger performance partnerships as they advance through GAB.

Requirements: One ballet class per week required, two recommended

Perfect for: Inspiring young artists refining their technique! Students ready to advance their classical training while exploring diverse techniques that create well-rounded dancers.

Includes: Professional-quality instruction in one-handed barre exercises, pirouette preparation, expanded jump combinations, and continued strength building with individual attention to each student's unique path. Multi-level class (Ballet 1&2 and Ballet 2&3) to help dancers build lasting friendships while developing skills together, creating stronger performance partnerships as they advance through GAB.

Requirements: One ballet class per week required, two recommended

Ballet 3 (Ages 8-10)

Perfect for: Dedicated young artists developing both technical skill and artistic expression! Students ready for comprehensive development through classical foundation with diverse technique exploration.

Includes: Professional-quality training in full one-handed barre work with port de bras, emphasis on alignment and turnout, balance development, and expanded vocabulary in our healthy and nourishing environment. Multi-level class (Ballet 2&3 and Ballet 3&4) to help dancers build lasting friendships while developing skills together, creating stronger performance partnerships as they advance through GAB.

Requirements: Two ballet classes per week required

Ballet 4 - 8

For dancers continuing to develop their classical ballet technique while working toward their personal goals, GAB offers Foundational Program options at each advanced level with both required and recommended class paths.

Ballet 4 (Ages 9+)

Perfect for: Young artists ready to explore advanced classical training! Students can choose their commitment level while receiving professional-quality instruction and building toward pre-professional opportunities.

Includes: Professional-quality pre-pointe preparation, advanced barre and center work, strength building for pointe readiness, and focus on precision and artistry in our nurturing environment. Multi-level class (Ballet 4-6 and Ballet 3&4) to help dancers build lasting friendships while developing skills together, creating stronger performance partnerships as they advance through GAB.

Note: Students interested in pointe work must take 3 ballet classes weekly. Our faculty will work with each dancer to determine pointe readiness based on strength, technique, and individual development.

Foundational Program:

  • Required: 2 ballet classes per week - Build confidence and strong technique

  • Recommended: 3 ballet classes per week - Advanced training for pointe eligibility

Includes: Beginning pointe technique, major expansion of classical vocabulary, sophisticated port de bras, and performance opportunities that nurture each student's unique path. Multi-level classes to  help dancers build lasting friendships while developing skills together, creating stronger performance partnerships as they advance through GAB.

Foundational Program:

  • Required: 3 ballet classes per week - Solid pointe preparation and skill building

  • Recommended: 4 ballet classes per week - Comprehensive training for advancing dancers

Includes: Professional-quality complete classical technique, advanced pointe work, partnering skills, variations, and artistry development with leadership opportunities in major productions. Multi-level classes to  help dancers build lasting friendships while developing skills together, creating stronger performance partnerships as they advance through GAB.

Conditioning/Pilates (Ages 10+) & Open Ballet (Ages 12+)

Perfect for: Dancers wanting injury prevention and technique enhancement, plus older beginners or returning dancers seeking ballet for fitness and joy! These classes build physical foundation while providing excellent instruction in welcoming, supportive environments.

Includes: Pilates principles, resistance band work, dance-specific exercises, targeted strength and core development, flexibility training, body awareness building, proper alignment focus, ballet fundamentals, barre and center work adapted for all levels, and stress-free learning.
